ANGELA ALLOTEY

Angela Allotey is a Senior Consultant with nineteen years professional experience. Her professional focus is in business development, deal structuring and operations improvement. Besides her extensive expertise in the financial services, real estate and services sectors, she also brings additional experience in social development. With her expertise in credit analysis of SME for several years, she brings unique expertise in sourcing financing for expansion.

Her work experience includes two years with Sister Cities International, an International Non-Governmental Organisation based in Accra where she served as Finance Coordinator (2009-11). Prior to joining Sister Cities International, Angela served as General Manager for Regalon Estates Ghana Limited for two years (2007-2009), having earlier served as Library Assistant, Select Recruitment, UK for one year (2005). This was preceded by a position of Closing Loans Manager at Global Home Loans in the UK (2004).

For a ten-year period 1991-2001, Angela served in various capacities at Barclays Bank Ghana Limited (Head Office). Among the positions held, she served as Treasury Sales Manager / Senior Dealer in the Treasury Department, (2000-2001) where she marketed treasury products, recruited new customers for business promotion, handled customer complaints, advised foreign exchange rates and provided economic analyses for business development. She also compiled annual Treasury Sales Plans, provided support for the effective running of the Bank’s Assets and Liabilities Committee and also served as an interface between Treasury and other departments within the Bank. Earlier (1999-2000), she served as Projects Manager, Business Change Unit and was responsible for handling all of the Bank’s Projects from inception through definition to implementation, reporting of updates to the Programme Officer; conducting periodic project meetings as well as handling project definition workshops. She also held positions such as Credit Analyst, Marketing Officer and Senior Text Processor.

Angela holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Henley Management College, UK (Aug 2004) and a Bachelor of Science, Mathematics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (1990). She also has undergone other short courses including Good Governance; Mortgage Processing; Cultural Techniques; International Banking; Treasury Front Office; and Finance for SMEs.
